Description: Gear Set 17*41 for Honda Dio\Elite. Get the most out of your big bore kit, with increased top speed and a more usable rev range performance. The final drive ratio is the last bit of gearing between your transmission and the driven wheels. In general, a lower final drive ratio will lead to less torque at the wheels but higher top speed. Meanwhile, a higher ratio will result in the opposite, i.e. more torque at the wheels but lower top speed. Get the most out of your big bore kit, with increased top speed and a more usable rev range performance.

Since the Honda Dio\Elite transmission stock gear teeth are 13*49 which = gear ratio 3.769:1 this means the stock gear 13-teeth counter shaft has to turn 3.769 full-turns to drive 1 full-turn of its 49-teeth final drive gear thus turns its final drive axle which the rear wheel spin freely on.

Gear Set 17*41 = ratio 2.411:1 is best for stock/mild 90-110cc builds. We suggest going to this 17*41 taller gear set if you planning on plain road top-speed riding.

Here's how to calculate the gear ratio for Gear Set 17*41 Just divide the number of final drive gear teeth 41 by the number of the counter shaft teeth 17. It's 41 / 17 = 2.411:1 gear ratio. This means the 17-teeth counter shaft gear takes 2.411 full-turns to drive 1 full-turn the larger 41-teeth drive gear. Overall it will take less counter shaft gear turn for the rear wheel to spin compared to the stock gear ratio.

NOTE: Not included, must reuse stock 54-teeth counter shaft gear, easily slide on. However, a 12-ton hydraulic compressor is required for removing the stock 49-teeth rear final drive gear off its final drive shaft and then re-pressing the final drive shaft onto this new 41-teeth rear final drive gear. Please compare OE dimension before ordering to assure correct fitment.
