Stage6 Drive Face CNC-Machined (Aprilia, Piaggio, Vespa 50)

Description: Stage6 Drive Face CNC-Machined for Aprilia, Piaggio 50, Vespa 2-stroke engines. Drive face with optimized drive face angle. In order to keep costs down, original racing drives are usually cast or - even worse - pressed steel. When these parts are cooling down after casting, the metal is still molten and the drive face angles can often vary. Due to the fact that racing engines have a very narrow power band, these tolerances have direct consequences on the power output. In contrast to those standard versions, the Stage6 racing drive is precisely CNC cut out of solid material. All in all, more than twelve different versions were tested to find the optimal.

Installation: 1. Slack the belt by opening the CVT clutch gives belt slack to the variator side. 2. Then install the variator drive face while lifting the slack belt further away from the center boss if done properly should not see any splines between variator drive face slop-side and boss flat-side. Should be flushed together. 3. Then install the existing variator fan, washer, and hand-tight nut. 4. Finally, apply blue Loctite, torque nut to 30-35ft-lbs. For reassurance please consult your manufacturer's variator torque specs.
